five courses, and four courses will be offered in December.
November Courses At 212 University
WO-101 Work Order Module Basics
This course will teach how to set up and manage the Work Order module to be used as efficiently as possible. When completed students will be able to track costs, invoice the homeowner, and define the standard process of managing work orders and/or service request for their organization or community. Our class will be held on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 2:00 PM EST.
ACCNT-401 Editing GL Report Layouts
This course will provide students with the knowledge and understanding to customize their financial statements generated out of the General Ledger module, using the Maintain Layout feature. Have you ever wanted to have your income accounts grouped with subtotals like the expense accounts? Then this course is for you! In this class we will discuss the steps necessary to edit your existing financial statements or create new ones to obtain the layout that will most effectively present a community’s financial position. Our class will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 2:00 PM EST.
BSA-101 Basic Accounting using TOPS Professional™
This course is designed to help you understand basic accounting and how it is used in TOPS Professional™ . We will discuss the two accounting methods: cash and accrual, the different types of accounts: assets, liabilities, and equity, and the typical account balances: debits and credits. Our class will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 2:00 PM EST.
ACCNT-400 Reconciling Financials
This course will cover the steps needed to reconcile the AP and AR Sub-Ledgers to the GL. At the end of the course students will have an understanding of how to make sure that their financials are accurate. In addition, we will highlight items that should be considered when reconciling the financials. We will also review some process steps to help in validating the financials. Our class will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 2:00 PM EST.
CAL-101 Calendar Basics
This course will cover the basic functionality of the Calendar module and its integration with Job Streaming and other TOPS Professional™ modules. Friday, November 21, 2008 at 2:00 PM EST.
December Courses At 212 University
ACCT-110 Being Prepared for Year End
The last thing we need in our day to day operations is the added stress of year end and all the tasks that need to get done. This course will cover the steps necessary for closing out a fiscal year and include some of the optional year end features to keep your system running smoothly. We will also discuss some helpful tips and ideas to help ease the stress. Our class will be held on Monday, December 8, 2008 at 2:00 PM EST.
JBS-101 Job Streaming Process
This course will cover how the Job Streaming module will automate and simplify many recurring processes in TOPS Professional™ . We will discuss what processes are available in the Job Streaming module, how to create new Job Streaming jobs, and how to schedule the jobs to either run automatically or prompt the user to run them
. Our class will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2008 at 2:00 PM EST.
TRF-101 The Resale Process
This course will review the process for entering owner information due to a resale or transfer of ownership. The course will highlight items that should be considered from the time you received the Demand from the Title Company thru posting the Escrow check into the new homeowner account. At the end of this course, students should have a good understanding of the process for transferring ownership.

NCS-101 New Community Setup
This course will cover the steps necessary to successfully set up a new community in TOPS Professional™ . In addition we will highlight items that you should consider when setting up a community. We will take a stroll through the New Community Setup Wizard to initialize the basic community. Then we will walk through the process of setting up homeowners, loading balances for homeowners, and loading General Ledger beginning balances. We will also review the process steps of validating the numbers between TOPS Professional™ and the system one would be moving from. We will conclude with time saving tips for management companies using a template community approach. Our class will be held on Friday, December 11, 2008 at 2:00 PM EST.
