TOPS U: Internet Training
By popular Demand, TOPS U is expanding our course offerings to provide
more online training opportunities each month. In April we will be offering
four courses and five courses will be offered in May.
April Courses at TOPS U
CHK-101 Check Reconciliation Module
In this course we will review all functions and options in the check
reconciliation module. Once completed, students will have the knowledge
necessary to create bank accounts and perform monthly check reconciliations
in all TOPS communities. Our class will be held on Tuesday, April
22, 2008 at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM EDT.
ACCNT-210 The Budget Cycle
In this course we will cover the various steps necessary to successfully
load budgets for your communities. In addition we will highlight areas
that you should consider when preparing your budgets. Our class will be
held on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM EDT.
WO-101 Work Order Module Basics
This course is designed to help you manage work orders and service requests
as efficiently as possible. When completed you should be able to add service
requests and work orders, track costs, invoice the homeowner, and define
the standard process of managing work orders and/or service requests for
your organization or community. Our class will be held on Thursday,
April 24, 2008 at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM EDT.
ACCNT-400 Reconciling the Sub Ledgers
In this course we will cover the steps needed to reconcile the AP and
AR Sub-Ledgers to the GL. At the end of the course you should have an
understanding of how to make sure that your financials are accurate. Our
class will be held on Friday, April 25, 2008 at 10:00 AM and 2:00
PM EDT.
May Courses At TOPS U
NCS-101 New Community Setup
In this course we will cover the steps necessary to successfully set
up a new community in TOPS Professional™ . In addition, we will highlight
items that you should consider when setting up a community. We will take
a stroll through the New Community Setup Wizard to initialize the basic
community. Then we will walk through the process of setting up homeowners,
loading balances for homeowners, and loading General Ledger beginning
balances. We will also review the process steps of validating the numbers
between TOPS and the system one would be moving from. We will talk about
time saving tips for management companies using a template community approach.
Our class will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 10:00 AM and
2:00 PM EDT.
ACCNT-401 Customizing Financial
Reports
This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and understanding
to customize your financial statements generated out of the General Ledger
module. Have you ever wanted to have your income accounts grouped with
subtotals like the expense accounts? Then this course is for you! In this
class we will discuss the steps necessary to edit your existing financial
statements or create new ones to obtain the layout that will most effectively
present a community’s financial position. Our class will be held
on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM EDT.
ACCNT-400 Reconciling the Sub Ledgers
In this course we will cover the steps needed to reconcile the AP and

how to ensure their financials are accurate. Our class will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM EDT.
ACCNT-301 Adjusting AR Owner Balances
This course will provide an overview of adjusting owner balances using
ADD/WAIVE and PAY ADJUST functions. As a prerequisite for this course,
students should have a general understanding of Accounts Receivable functions
in TOPS Professional™ , including Cash Receipts, Apply Charges, and Apply
Prepays. At the end of this course, students should have a good understanding
of how to correct A/R owner balances on a consistent basis. Our class
will be held on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM EDT.
