DOS to TOPS 2000™ Upgrades Shipping Now

Although TOPS 2000™ was released for sale to new customers in December 1999, existing customers were not able to upgrade to it because data conversion utilities were not available from DOS TOPS—until now. Early this summer we began shipping the TOPS 2000™ upgrade with conversion utilities to existing DOS customers. We followed a careful plan to fill a limited number of upgrade orders just to make sure everything was working as planned. Now we are shipping all upgrades orders as they are received. The conversion utilities were thoroughly tested by our programming staff and are working well. Customers who have already upgraded have been very satisfied with the conversion to TOPS 2000™.

It’s really easy to upgrade to TOPS 2000™. Once the new program is loaded on your computer, simply start the data conversion utility and “tag” the communities in DOS TOPS you wish to convert. The data is moved into TOPS 2000™ automatically ready to use. No other setup needs to be done. The conversion does NOT disable or delete DOS TOPS—you can still use it if need be.

Conversions are available from both TOPS Pro and TOPS Lite. However, you must be on version 2.2.1 in order to upgrade to TOPS 2000™ for Windows®.
