Staying Connected
I’m just back from the CEO-MC Conference in Salt Lake City and our first User Conference this year held in Long Beach, CA. It was great to meet and greet a lot of our customers at both events. The feedback we get from doing conferences like this is extremely valuable and we always go back home with new ideas for the software development team.

Purchase Now To Avoid Price Increase
Over the last year, TOPS has continued to add increased functionality to the TOPS Professional™ program. The majority of this new functionality, such as the Calendar/Scheduler feature, Unlimited Flex Data, the new Budget Entry feature, etc., has been added to our Basic System. In addition, we’ve also added new functionality to our CCR/ACC Enforcement module, with the Batch Entry, Letters, and Close features and also to our Job Streaming module, with the automated scheduling features.

Long Beach User Conference Review
This was our first User Conference of the year, which was held on June 25th on the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California. It was a first class venue, and the attendees gave high praise to the conference facility, and the excellent food. We had a very good attendance with approximately 70 people who were able to participate.
Presentations were given by representatives from TOPS, AtHomeNet, Association Ready, and U.S. Bank, who graciously hosted the event. Thank you, Cat Coltrell and Dori Kagan, for coordinating all of the arrangements and making this a wonderful event.

User Conference 2008
2008 will be a busy year for TOPS. We are in the planning stages for a series of User Conferences to be held all over the country. A User Conference (not to be confused with training) is an interactive session for TOPS users and TOPS personnel to go over all the new features in the program, the various areas on our web site, and all the related services we offer. We are working with several TOPS partners to coordinate these events. AtHomeNet, Association Ready, U.S. Bank, and Rockland Trust Bank are just some of organizations that will be part of our User Conferences. On June 6, 2008, TOPS held our first Focus Group showing the latest in development for our next version, named OnPoint™. The group, consisting of long time and new TOPS users, reviewed the current status of this program and shared their comments on the direction we are headed with this exciting project. We are very pleased with the positive opinions and practical ideas expressed by those attending.
The next Focus Group will be held on Monday, July 28, 2008 at 2 PM EDT, during which we will review further development of OnPoint™. Online AP Check Approval Through TOPS
As our communities grow, bills for budget items get bigger. These items then require board approval before payment can be made. While growing communities are great, this increase in time demand makes it hard for the busy board members to all meet and sign/approve checks. Management companies and managers do this for not only 1 community but 10, 20, maybe even more. This can be a huge time strain for managers to meet the needs of all their clients and keep all the check requests current.

Mobile Manager >
- Resolved an issue with incorrect or missing Owners > Balances syncing to Mobile Manager using the data path as the working directory.
- Corrected an issue that was generating an error "Cannot find column [changed]" when syncing data under certain circumstances.
- Updated report title from "TOPS PDA..." to "TOPS Mobile Manager Synchronization Report".
- Update all references to TOPS 2000™. Since Mobile Manager will be available across platforms, reference to TOPS should not be program specific.
- Resolved an unhandled exception error if there is no data for Pool Pass when accessed through Quick Reference. Same is true if Gate is selected. If Pool Pass and/or Gate Security data do not exist, that module's button will be grayed out in the Quick Reference window.

- Board/Committee – Allow easier access for the administrator to edit the general description area for a particular Board or Committee
- Reservations – Added a new “Not Valid” status on the main reservation screen to indicate that a given time slot falls within the “open” hours of the resource but would not comply with the Minimum Reservation Time rules that are currently set on that resource.
- Vendor Search Enhancement- Added the ability to repeat a search through adding a “Search Again” option when searching for vendors and viewing the “Vendor Search Results.”
- Homes For Sale Editing Enhancement- Added a parameter that allows an administrator to exercise control in empowering which residents/authorized users have the ability to add, edit and delete any home or lot in the Homes for Sale & Homes For Lease feature.
- Updated program to resolve issue with new owner information posting to Update.txt with the current information but previous owner person ID is there.
- Resolved issue with site upload date not being updated on the TOPS Professional desktop.
